Gillian Dickinson

Sore point with me, that outfit. One of my characters . . . not me, you understand . . . got its name wrong a couple of years ago, and I’ve never heard the end of it. There are several other people in the editorial chain, but Horlickses always come back to the author, and quite rightly so. You call it ‘a force within a force’. You’d better not let a guy named Ted Crofton hear you.

    Oh my!!!
I read the comment by Mr Crofton and the first part went straight over my head, but wondered what Andy had said, but was not able to recall any reference. Now the light has come on over my head and certainly know what happened to “Harry”.
When I was a lot younger and being a Londoner I grew up with the understanding that “The City of London” force were deemed as the gentleman or elite force, ( I’ve since changed my mind and know a little better ) But!! we both know that the City is 1 square mile and surrounded by the Met….. So don’t you let Mr Crofton bully you… But please as your extravagant lady friend give me a clue to which book?
    Take care

Worry not on the bullying front; that doesn’t work. (But maybe it explains my instinctive dislike of Captain Barbossa.) The book? Aftershock, P 11, as I recall.
