Nutter
I’ve seen some stuff in my time, but for a professional footballer to attack a member of the opposition coaching team, that’s a first. Any young professional athlete who head-butts a 59 year-old man deserves the severest sanctions. When that almost senior citizen is one Joe Jordan, he also deserves a brain scan. I can only assume that Gennaro Gattuso, of Milan, nutted big Joe in the certain knowledge that everyone around would separate them. If there was any justice in the world they would all have stood back and let nature take its course. Had they done so, the final score would definitely have been Scotland 1 — Italy 0.

it would be nice to think that Joe’s ‘history’ playing in Italy had something to do with the outburst but Gattuso does in fact need to be committed to an asylum for even contemplating his actions never mind carrying them out. Should be condemned all the way up to the top of FIFA, whereby Blatt’ead will have a joke about it… git!
The boy Gattuso was six years old when Joe left Italy. Rino’s time as a kid at Rangers is a likelier connection. Walter liked him, Advocaat did not. The Dutchman played him at right back then sold him; he went on to captain Milan. This may help to explain why in his thirty years as a manager, Advocaat’s longest stay in any of his sixteen jobs has been four years. Where? Ibrox, and for some of that time he was kicked upstairs.
