I was watching the fitba’ in the sitting room last night and my wife was reading Funeral Note on her Kindle. Suddenly she exclaimed “The lights have gone out and I can’t find the next page!” Slowly it dawned on her that that the Kindle was OK, but the book had finished. She’s stilling muttering this morning about being left ‘in the dark’ and never feeling so flabbergasted (her word) at the end of a book and wanting to know when Skinner 23 was due out. I told her and she wouldn’t believe me until I showed her your reply to Maureen Patterson.
So that’s all right then, eh?
Yup.
I have also just finished reading Funeral Note, another superb Skinner novel (read them all, and the Backstone series),,,, several expletives later (apologies QJ) I am desperate to hit the forward button to ‘time’ to read the outcome!
