Ryanair shocker
Another Ryanair fuck-up. Currently in Barcelona Airport where our flight is showing as boarding on time. However it is not. Plane is there crew is not. There will be a two-hour delay but this has not been adequately announced and many punters are sitting on the ground bewildered.
Totally unacceptable.

However – this is what ‘we’ get when everything becomes ‘cost-based’
We are becoming a nation of folk who know the ‘price’ of everything – and the ‘value’ of nothing!

That’s not a rant, David, it’s a valid point. (It’s also the cynic’s classic definition of an accountant.) Cost is a factor in my use of Ryanair, but its greatest value to me is that it takes me from Scotland to Barcelona directly; mostly they do it on time. Frustrations arise when they don’t, for they seem not to be interested in customer service on the ground. If they had a decent operations manager on the ground at Barcelona, he’d have been all over the desk staff making sure they kept everyone properly and courteously informed of the situation. But they don’t and that devalues the entire operation.
