No shame, Esther?

I’ve just been revolted by this ad which popped up on a page I was reading.

My first  thought was that dear Esther might have been a victim, but no such luck.

    No chance, Esther comes from under one of them “pyramidy” things they have in Egypt, she’s a mummy and wants new bandages for free! More class-action, ambulance-chasing bullshit – guess where that comes from.

    Must have “bled” from U.S practices. Advertising lawyers and ambulance chasers seem to be an endemic plague there (here!) Shakespeare was right. Too many law schools and too many lawyers.

    It did, Pat. Not so long ago our lawyers were not allowed to advertise their services.Now it has become thoroughly distasteful. You may not know who esther Rantzen is; if so, count yourself lucky.

    Sounds like an old character from Eastenders. Advertising “professions” turned them to “trades”. Thank heaven the lawyer jokes abound-serves them right.
