Answer, probably not. It has the same sexual cliffhanger dynamic as Maggie and the Doc in Northern Exposure, Donna and Josh, in West Wing, Annie and Alan in DCI Banks, Laura and Robbie in Lewis, Peter and Andy in Dalziel & … No, scratch that last one.
As for your second point, I worked that one out about 50 years ago. Marilyn Monroe did it for me.
