Thanks to all those who’ve explored Bob Skinner’s distant future in Skinner’s Elves. Last time I looked it stood at 399 on the overall Kindle sales list, a number I find both gratifying and astonishing.

Haven’t read Elves yet but read the latest Oz short story on Saturday morning. It is brilliant and I can’t wait for the next one. Elves will be my next read after finishing Matthews tale.
Re Bob Skinners future my wife just asked a question. Would Police Scotland be in the mess it is if Quintin Jardine had allowed Bob Skinner to lead the newly merged national force? Bob’s future would have been very different, and just think of the stories he could tell us about his dealings with the current Justice and First Ministers. Enough there for at least another four or four five books.

Short answer, no. He’d have been frustrated by his distance from the action. and taken it out on this around him. Bob is happier in his new environment, and so am I.
