How would it play if every nation on Trumsk’s hit list, ie all of them apart from Israel (because of its unique development opportunities), slapped a minimum 100% tariff on Tesla cars?
Would the special relationship survive that?

Donald Trump is transactional devoid of loyalty and motivated by personal animus with no chance of any special relationship. Canada is threatening to impose 25% tariffs on products largely from American states controlled by members of Trump’s own Republican Party. Canada is the leading trading partner of 36 of the American states. Ontario Premier Doug Ford is threatening to tear up a $100 million contract with Elon Musk’s Starlink and British Columbia is preparing to do the same. Trump has his eyes on Canada’s natural resources which include water which the U.S. southwest lacks and rare minerals which are needed for continued technological development. That’s also why he also wants to get his hands on Greenland. Trump by his hubris and arrogance has ruptured the U.S.- Canada relationship.
