No, Fiona, you won’t find me on the Crime Writers’ Association website. Why should members of one of the most solitary professions on the planet feel the need to associate? Plus . . . I don’t want to belong to any club that would accept me as a member. Groucho Marx said that. If there was any logic in the world, surely the Groucho Club in Soho would be empty.
