I understand your question, GD, and I can only be frank with you. It’s like this. I write one Skinner a year. Even if they were published as soon as they were finished, I’d still only write one a year so nothing would change, apart from the fact that they’d have even more spelling errors than they have already. Could I do more? Maybe, but I’d have to stop doing Primavera or any standalones. I’d also drive my wife and everyone around me, absolutely crazy. And that’s the bottom line, ‘cos Stone Cold said so.

Why is the latest Skinner book Grievous Angel going back into his past?
Hope this is not a sign that the series is coming to an end, no new cases for him and personal developments? And not only for Bob, for the rest of the characters as well!
Sincerely hope not, been a fan for years, would like to carry on for more years!!

Short answer, why not? Longer answer, so that core readers can find out more about him. Next one will be set in the present, promise, although again, the formula wil be new. I would like also to carry on for more years; as many as I’m allowed, indeed.
