Sick

I didn’t see all of the Chelsea Man U game, but I saw enough to make me very angry. Every time Rio Ferdinand touched the ball he was booed loudly by the Chelsea support. Why? Because he is the brother of Anton, who is at the heart of the John Terry controversy, the person whom Terry is accused of abusing racially. In his prime Rio was a far better player than any defender in the Chelsea squad, and even now probably still is, so perhaps jealousy had a little to do with it. But I don’t believe that it had. No, I see it as the unacceptable face of English football coming to the fore yet again, giving force to Rio’s suggestion last week that perhaps institutional racism persists among its followers, for all the multi-ethnicity of its players.

Dare I ask a question, which came first, did you wonder if they would boo, or did you hear them booing…… you know which team I supported, you also know that I am not and never have been a fan of JT…… and unfortunately the masses will always be judged by the few…
    Your still my favourite

Sadly, I knew they would, so when I heard it, it was no surprise. What I hadn’t realised until this morning, having seen so little of the game, was that the same morons gave Evra stick. I know he has history at Chelsea, but in the wake of the Suarez case that has a nasty racist smell. You’re not my only Chelsea friend, Gillian, I have several, but I wonder how few the few are in relation to the masses. I recall from my brief period of London life, back in the 80s, that the Chelsea fans had a nasty core. I’d hoped it had been eradicated in the new era, but it seems not.

And how special we Chelsea friends are, sadly I would agree there has as you say always been this element and I have no answer for you…. but at least the pass from Torres leading to the goal by Mata gave me something to cheer for, I’m surprised you didn’t hear me.
    Take care

Haven’t seen that either. IMO, Torres owed Liverpool rather more than he gave them after his injury. From what I can see, and Vincent del Bosque also, judging by his recent appearances for Spain, he’s lost that killer edge of pace but he’s still a good player. Can it be a coincidence that his recent improved showings have coincided with Drogba’s absence? Methinks not. If the Drog takes the starting spot back on his return, I’ll begin to wonder who’s picking the team.

Have just read a comment from Rio regarding other comments made and its worse than booing….. who’s picking the team, I believe Abramovich is asking the same question… will he bring back “The special one “
