    a most touching tribute to a talented and troubled soul-Kevin’s tribute was Whitney centered with quite a bit of Kevin inserted.

    I did watch some, but decided that Phil was weighed in so went to bed, it being an hour later here. Imagine my surprise . . .

    Funny, nobody rated Jay Haas’s son when he was an amateur; that’s all he was. Now he’s a Fedex Cup winner with a very good record of converting winning opportunities.

    Exactly the same thing happened to me. I thought Phil was done when he missed the birdie putt on the 16th, switched off and went to bed. Next morning I accidentally switched on in the middle of the play-off in the highlights program and, without knowing the result, went back to the recording of the live broadcast where I had switched off and sat fascinated until young Haas holed that 40 footer on the second play-off hole. Phew!!!
