Cheers. Blanc Pescador was a bit of a trail blazer. It is generally agreed that Emporda whites have improved dramatically in range and quality over the last twenty years, but that one has been there from the start and remains consistent. You might also enjoy its sister, Cresta Rosa. But petillant? Come on, wrong country.

Vino de aguja, as it says on the label. (But mostly, it’s fizzy.)

Do you know the La Corto range? I particularly like the tinto – marvellous value for a soft but full bodied wine.

La Corto, Rioja Tinto, Cream label with a stag in black. I find it in Supercor and Pepe la Sal. Hope you find it, and enjoy!

Have just tried the rosè – lovely as it was 32º here yesterday, very refreshing. I think my fingers are playing tricks on this keyboard. It is El Corto I have been recommending to you. It is a very pleasant Rioja Crianza.
