Wow, somebody who has the same name as me! I don’t have any steps either but my daughter does: 6 flights. I can’t see anything therapeutic in that at all and to consider it exercise rather than a miserable end to the day is absurd. It may be beneficial if that’s all you have and, if you don’t climb, you don’t get home but you can’t beat opening the door and going for a walk. On the other hand, there are no obese people in her building – what am I saying here?
Using the stairs rather than the lift on cruise ships helps a little to mitigate the consequences of the extra food available!
