We love Red Ed or Gromit as we affectionally call him. He’s the one hope we have of not getting a Labour government in 2015. As for the yes vote – it may be political BS being spouted by William Hague on the news this morning but according to him there is no guarantee that an independant Scotland would be in the European union. As a new nation state it would have to apply, basically join the queue, and one condition that is not negotiatable is that it would have to join the Euro.
Then no way Labour will form a coalition with the Lib Dems in 2015.
But Milliband and Balls have both indicated they would have no qualms about doing just that. In fact Alistair Campbell (remember him) is back stating that a Lab/Dem pact is the likeliest outcome.
Oh by the way if you really want a laugh out loud moment, can I suggest this –
There seems to be a whiff of bullshit, since Kim Jong-Eck says teh SNP has contradictory legal advice, that independent Scotland will negotiate its membership from within. Logically, how could it be otherwise, without having an impact on English/Welsh/NI membership? As for the Euro, the Czech republic, which has been an EU member for ten years, retains its traditional currency as anyone who has ever been on a stag weekend to Prague will confirm.
