You had me thinking there that it was the end of Bob’s career. But I was relieved to hear that it is the start of something new for him.
Can’t wait to start reading.
Now that was a good idea; appearing in folks’ studies as Gillian says. I would have found out sooner or later but, because you did that, I bought it today. No point waiting. Keep on keepin’ on and who’s going to win the gowf?
Good question Fergus. Frankly I don’t have a Scooby, so I’ll go for the guys who play the course best and that leads me to Bubba, the man his fellow pros are least likely to help in a fight in the car park.
Literally just finished reading ‘Hour of Darkness’ and was beginning to think I’d need to start on the Blackstone series after Skinner 25!
Delighted to hear ‘Last Resort’ won’t be Bob’s final adventure and will be searching for it in the book shop tomorrow.
Albeit I’m not much of a reader, I’ve read the previous 24 Skinner books and can’t wait for the next installment, just impossible to put down!
As a Police officer myself, I enjoy reading these novels and whilst accepting there will always be a certain element of ‘poetic licence’, I can see you clearly have a good grasp on the political issues involving the amalgamation of Forces to Police Scotland with it’s many issues. It’s good to see these points being brought out in your books, I’m sure some readers will put this down to ‘poetic licence’ however we know better.
Can’t wait to get started on ‘Last Resort’, many congratulations on reaching 25 and still managing to keep the reader on the edge of his or her seat!

Good to finally meet you in my study…
Thank you for all the pleasure your books have given me.
So looking for the “Last Resort”
Take care

Ah, the days of pitch and putt on Bruntsfield links….what’s to say.
Just finished reading the Last Resort and thoroughly enjoyed it. I am looking forward to reading your future publications
