    If only it were possible to distinguish true fans from the hooligans. Pity they all become tarred with the same brush. The trouble makers do not give a fig about the game itself.

      True fans have the option of not gathering in numbers sufficiently large to attract the attention of the Militant Tendency in the Gendarmerie. They have the option of not displaying their colours until they are inside the stadium,but the FA won’t encourage that lest it harm the sale of replica shirts.

        As usual – follow the money. I truly feel for real fans who want to see the match. What price a family outing? You wouldn’t dare take a family to one of these matches.
