Erosion?
Is it my imagination or has the beach in front of the Hostal Ampurias got smaller? An east wind with big waves and there might not be much left.

No, you’re not dreaming, it’s the same all along the coast. Not so far north from there, at Argelès sur Mer, in certain places the beach has gone from 50 metres to 15 in what seems like the blink of an eye. Seems like we humans have changed too many things without any knowledge or thought of future consequences.Very sad and very probably far too late.
I’m not sure that can be blamed on human activity. Here it’s the result of sea storms and high winds, in Gullane it’s the tides,
