See you later, Babes.

Yesterday we laid Eileen to rest, facing the afternoon sun and beside an old friend. We did it in the traditional Scottish way, her loving family lowering her coffin into the earth. She took a piece of my heart with her. I don’t have much left. All I can do now is walk my dog, write and miss her.

So sorry to hear your sad news, so many of us have taken comfort from your brilliant writing, perhaps now you can take comfort whilst writing and remembering the happy times with your loved one. Good luck ❤️‍🩹

You will never be free of your pain, but I hope it subsides enough to be at least bearable.

So sad to read this news.
I actually spoke to her in the Mitchell Library in Sydney where you were giving a reading, and she seemed like a delightful, friendly lady.
It must be devastating, and my thoughts are with you.
