See you later, Babes.

Yesterday we laid Eileen to rest, facing the afternoon sun and beside an old friend. We did it in the traditional Scottish way, her loving family lowering her coffin into the earth. She took a piece of my heart with her. I don’t have much left. All I can do now is walk my dog, write and miss her.

Big dug.
Sorry for your loss, glad that the family could be there to celebrate her life. I’m sure you have the support you’ll need from family and your followers, God bless.

My deepest sympathy to you QJ & your family from Canada .
So sorry to hear your sad news, so many of us have taken comfort from your brilliant writing, perhaps now you can take comfort whilst writing and remembering the happy times with your loved one. Good luck ❤️🩹
You will never be free of your pain, but I hope it subsides enough to be at least bearable.
So sorry to read the dreadful news. You will have such happy memories to look back on and you never lose your loved ones as you carry them in your heart always. I hope we, your book-reading family, can join with your other family in helping to carry you through
You never walk alone…..she will always be there in spirit, you are lucky to have family and the love of a dog….as my granny always said……count your blessings.x
Sorry for your loss and deepest sympathy. I hope you have enough strength.
Thinking of you (& all Eileen’s family)…sending gentle hugs & sincere sympathy🤗💝🤗
So sad to read this news.
I actually spoke to her in the Mitchell Library in Sydney where you were giving a reading, and she seemed like a delightful, friendly lady.
It must be devastating, and my thoughts are with you.
Condolences.
Rest in peace, Eileen. A lifelong friend, many happy memories. A lovely photo, Quintin, thank you.
I am very sad to read of your loss. We none have enough friends and loved ones to lose any.
So sorry to hear, Condolences
