Gillian Dickinson
Thanks Gillian, I knew I could rely on you to ask the question. Apart from The Loner, the other two books in my top three for film/tv treatment are A Coffin for Two and Grievous Angel. However since I am omnipotent in this forum, I will squeeze a fourth title on to the podium. This one may surprise you ; Somewhere Over the Rainbow, even though it has never appeared in printed form, only as an eBook on Amazon.

Wow, I am so pleased that I may be of service, but I’m so glad you didn’t ask me to name the other two…..I will now read” Somewhere over the rainbow” as I now have a Kindle it has taken me over a year to make my purchase and part of that decision was the fact that I’m pretty certain that you mentioned having made the same purchase, my delay being that I felt I was letting down the people who write the books for me to read.
Take care
Gillian
You’re letting nobody down, Gillian. Truth is that the royalties are better on ebooks than on the paper kind.
‘Somewhere over the rainbow’ would make cracking television.
Then do me a favour, and tell James Murdoch, or better still whoever it was at BBC who commissioned the languid and incredibly slow ‘Birdsong’.
Thank you for your info on royalties, I have a copy of all of “the Skinner” series and most on audio as well, its surprising how details are missed when reading but picked up when listening. I really enjoyed “the Loner” and Grievous Angel but a little surprised that your choices did not include any of what if I may describe as “Bob” in the main steam. But knowing you as I like to think I do, as the umpire/referee your word is final.
Take care
Gillian
Only problem with e books is how do I get you to sign them at the Edinburgh book festival when I come to see you this year? Just finished reading Murmuring the Judges on my Christmas present Kindle and thoroughly enjoyed it. Tonight I have downloaded the next 4 “Skinners”. Cant wait to get stuck in to them. Thank you for creating a compelling character
There might be a way, Mark. AJ’s working on it.
