Four more years
This may count as a Christmas present; it is to me, and for sure to my imaginary friend Bob.
One of my first tasks of 2013 will be to sign contracts for four more Skinner books. This will take the schedule through to 2018, and gives the man plenty of scope for career moves between now and then. At present he is in seclusion considering his position in the light of the Scottish Government’s ridiculous and risky decision to centralise the country’s policing into a single force. That’s what happens when you put an economist and a lawyer in charge of decision-making, neither profession being renowned for its common sense.

Wherever you are and whatever you are celebrating, may it be a good one and to you my friend. Thank you for the gift of more “Skinner ” until 2018. I wonder if he will marry again.. Take special care
Gillian
.
Thanks Gillian.
Bob’s future is unknown, even to me, but I’m pretty confident that he will not be tying any more knots. Last time I saw him he was pretty happy where he was, and knows better than to change things.
As far as I recall, he is still technically married, unless now a widower – but that would be telling! Good to know there will be more Bob Skinner books to look forward to in the next few years.
I have only recently discovered you as a author when I bought a copy murmuring judges, Was immediately hooked. I went on line and bought all of the Bob Skinners series. I am currently reading Dead and Buried and am thinking I should ration out the remaining novels as I don’t want them to come to an end. So it is good news to hear there are more books to come. Keep up the good work. Jim from ” Down Under”
Cheers, Jim. I plan to do just that.
Many thanks for your wonderful present to all Skinner fans. I wait with baited breath for the next Skinner book.
I hope you had a wonderful christmas and 2013 is good to you.
Best wishes Fiona
Thank you, Fiona. Same to you and yours. By the way, what do you use for bait?
Just love the “Skinner” books. Discovered them quite by accident, unfortunately they don’t seems to be readily available from the usual outlets in Oz, but that’s okay – I bought all mine from Book Depository in the UK. I have been rationing them out, but am afraid have read my last one, so am pleased to see there are more coming ! Keep writing, so we can enjoy !
cant wait for the next skinner book, have been a great fan since the very 1st one that i found by accident on a ferry i used to work on. Whoever left it unread on one of the seats doesnt know what they’ve missed.
How did you know it was unread?
